  You had it right the first time today, Jeff Immelt has no credabilty. One lie is too much and Jeff has at least three to the public. By the way his staff runs all over GE saying that the way things are is because of you. I know your loyal but Jeff could not lead a parade in a telephone booth.

  Dear Mr. Welch: I was delighted to read in the Journal about your sponsorship of on-line MBA. I would urge you to expand your influence in education to encourage the US Department of Education to get behind a program for a fully accredited Ivy quality on-line university. This is a initiative whose time has come. I am the parent of a high school junior and have been doing the college visit thing. Increasingly, I am wondering why anyone would shell out mid-$50K's for a college education of dubious value. In addition, it is evident from these college visits that our educational system is complicit in perpetrating the racial and economic divide in our country. Pretty much all education involves a heavy component of self-education. A fully-accredited on-line education would allow every sufficiently motivated kid in a trailer park or ghetto or rural area to educate themselves for the marketplace. Most private and public universities have some form of on-line curriculum which could be leveraged into such a university. Why have this duplication of educational content across many content providers? Also, you have Itunes U which distributes some educational content free. MIT, for instance, publishes a lot of course content on-line. What is missing is 1)a rating agency that would evaluate course content, 2) a certification system like a College Board System (only better) which would be recognized by the major global employers. One aspect of on-line curriculm such as the MIT course content, is that it has not been engineered for web delivery. A distinct benefit to delivering on-line curriculum is that it can be designed for folks with learning disabilites and the current generation of gamer attention span. See Mr. Kurzweil on this one. Mr. Welch, an initiative of this potential global impact requires a sponsor or sponsors with your vision and your contacts and visibility. This initiative could be the killer app of the 21st century and could lift the U.S. out of its current downturn and return us to productivity with a highly skilled workforce.   Hi Jack and Suzy: This is a most effective, enlightening and exciting news for us. Education is a key to recovery and prosperity of this great nation. I have admired Jack, your journey and was convinced that the processes are universally applicable and of time-honored values such as: 1) Being number 1 or 2 (strive to excell); 2) Workout sessions to eliminate burueacracy barriers; 3) Boundaryless operations; 4) Six Sigma measurements; and so on. I would strongly recommend Obama Administration provides significant resources from all areas of governmental functions as well as for companies in recovery supported by the government to your new venture. I hope and strongly desire that your program teaches people to build great organizations and lead the way for prosperity for all of us. Instead of giving handouts, you are providing a strong, significant and effective tool through this education endeavor. Thank you for your generous offering to the society.   Hi Jack and Suzy, Congratulations on launching this initiative, bringing something new to the market is very exciting. There is unquestionably a need for this in the market. We just launched a new product ourselves today design to measure corporate culture, something I know Jack has written and spoken about a lot. We are working with some MBA schools to allow students to use the tools and get some real world consulting experience. Perhaps it is something you maybe interested in down the track.   Congratulations! Best wishes! We need to eventually move to offer a complete education/reeducation online. The "standard" education is so dumbed down that it puts our society and economy at risk. If our children do not know what they have in America, they will not know what they are losing until it is too late. Competition is the only thing that is going to move the current educational monopoly toward improvement. When I did my paper for a labor course in college in 1960, I reviewed the New York unions' goals and impact. Their motto/mantra (including the teachers' unions) was "less work for more pay"-it has never changed. You need to write the story of GE leaving New York State because of the unemployment benefits for strikers and how Mayor Lindsay told GE HQ to get out if they didn't like the way he was ruining the city. New York State is the case study on how to kill the golden goose with socialism. After WW II, almost all fortune 500 companies were in New York. Today, perhaps 60 to 70 remain. Thank goodness most escaped the boot of socialism. Now they are pushing top down socialism so we can not escape.

  Hi Jack, I am very excited by this business venture you have. I have always felt that MBA teaching is too academic. Students should be taught the practical aspects of management but the school professors do not have the necessary experience. I was a Partner at PwC Management Consulting. I have a similar idea of organising practical training for young executives in China and I have senior executives who are available to conduct the training.   I really wish you would allow full credit transfer from my current MBA program. 6 out of 15 will leave me 9 credit units loss. That is a lot of work and effort for lost. I really hope you would reconsider.

  I've checked the new Webshow and its first episode, and I must say that it was very informative and down to earth, but it really helps you see the vision of a company, how every single detail of information has to be scrutinized and how aggressive and passionate the people running these details should be. I must tell you, the finding of the right people is the toughest part, after that the chemistry between them is a main factor, and the attitude of the leader is the reflection on the team. I like it, I believe to be very informative and straight to the point. It's much better than "the apprentice" show in regards that it can help us all to see really what is need it to run a business better. Congrats!

  The first time I saw this show (episode one) I didn't really like it, but then I watched the second episode and had to rewatch the first. It's worth watching. Although, I keep thinking there's a lil' bias towards IT. The workout makes perfect sense, more companies should have an independent "stranger." I also, love the little radio buttons. I can't wait until more viewing programs become more interactive$$$ Can't wait to see episode 3.
